Review: My New Nokia E5
Recently I have purchased the Nokia E5 phone. This article is based on my own opinions and reviews. Actually, I need a feature-rich phone and when I checked the features of Nokia E5 mobile at the time of purchasing, I felt it’s quite tempting and bought it instantly. It also comes with a very reasonable price.
It’s an outstanding phone and like most of the other Nokia phones, it has good battery backup: 18 hours and 30 minutes talk time in GSM mode.
Overall look of the phone is good and performance till date is impressive. Screen size (2.4-inch) is perfect for showing off pictures taken with its 5-megapixel camera.
The Nokia E5 is catered with Symbian 9.3. It has QWERTY keypad with soft keys that enhances typing comfort and rapid text input. It is light weight and has wider QWERTY keypad that enables easy thumbing.
The E5 handles these message types - SMS, MMS and email. It also supports more specialized ones like Microsoft Office Communicator.
The Search feature enables you to find any item that your mobile contains in a given keyword.
You can download applications from OVI store into Nokia E5. OVI store have some wonderful applications which have amazing features. OVI is Nokia's Internet services brand where you can find Maps, Games, Messaging, Music, and Media. You can download free OVI applications to share your photos, videos with friends, sync your calendar, back up your mobile calendar online and so on. Easy navigation and gaming download from OVI gains lots of popularity nowadays.
Its GPS map is free and provides voice-guided navigation; but if accessed it by using your mobile network’s GPRS service, you'll be charged. Sunlight readability is better than most other phones.
Picture quality is finest. At the time of buying it come with a plastic cover at the lens, for better picture quality, just remove the cover. It is equipped with fixed-focus 5MP camera for a maximum image resolution of 2592 x 1944 pixels. Panning and zooming are fast and smooth even for 5MP photos. The searching feature for text on a page is simple and zoom level is easily adjustable.
It is a good smart phone and ideal for business users who wants to use it for multi tasks as it provides flexibility and you can add applications to meet individual requirements. Users can keep in touch with contacts and with customers as it provides extensive support for social networks, and IM chatting to go along with strictly-business offerings like the Microsoft Office messenger and has preinstalled Mail for Exchange client. Wi-Fi support is available.
Audio and speaker sound quality is great, noise free and customizable. It has 3.5mm audio jack and it handles the most common audio formats - MP3, WMA, AAC, and, eAAC+. The player comes with five equalizer presets and you can edit or create new ones. There are also Bass Booster and Stereo Widening options.

It has Bluetooth with A2DP and Bluetooth with A2DP, standard microUSB port (charging) and microSD card slot with 32GB supported and 2GB included.

You get a row of six customizable shortcuts at the top of the mobile screen: email, calendar, Ovi Chat and WLAN notifications which act as shortcuts to their respective apps.
Personal ring tones and videos can also be assigned to a contact.
It has great image gallery and gallery file-management options such as send multiple files at a time.
It equipped with stereo FM radio with RDS and Internet radio through which you can listen to songs broadcasted in the stations on the WWW.
The browser offers multiple tabs, visual history, form and data saving features.
You can easily view Word, Excel, PowerPoint (including Office 2007 files) and PDF files and editing is supported. It has ZIP manager, which enables you to extract archived files instantly on phone itself.
The E5 has a great calculator, voice recorder, unit converter and Notes application. The Active Notes application enables you to add multimedia content into your notes.
The Nokia E5 has a dictionary with a very rich word catalog with English as a pre-installed language and freely accessible.
Its message reader which can read your email messages and SMS out loud.
It is an exceptional phone in low cost. If all you wish for a good business phone, just go for the Nokia E5. I own a white one which looks amazing!!
